Every year at IFA in Berlin we get a glimpse into the future of home tech and this year Eufy grabbed everyone's attention with two bold announcements. The company showed off its latest flagship robot vacuum and mop called the Omni S2, and it also revealed a brand new accessory named MarsWalker that is designed to carry robot vacuums up and down stairs. Both are ambitious steps toward truly whole home cleaning.
Omni S2: A Powerhouse Robot Vacuum and Mop
The Omni S2 looks like Eufy's most powerful robot vacuum to date. It boasts suction power that reaches an eye watering thirty thousand Pascals, which puts it among the strongest cleaners we have seen in a robot. Alongside raw power it comes with a new HydroJet mop system that presses down harder on floors and even extends slightly to reach baseboards. A key highlight is the ability to lift the mop when it detects carpet, avoiding soggy patches and keeping soft flooring dry.
Eufy has also upgraded the brains of the robot. The Omni S2 uses a mix of sensors, cameras and lighting to recognise hundreds of common household objects, from cables to shoes. This makes navigation smarter and cuts down on frustrating tangles. To reduce maintenance the robot works with a new UniClean Station which can empty the dustbin, wash and dry the mop, and refill its water tanks. Eufy wants this to be as hands off as possible and it is promising less time spent fiddling with dirty parts.
MarsWalker: Tackling the Stair Problem
For years one of the biggest drawbacks of robot vacuums has been their inability to move between floors. Eufy is attempting to solve that with MarsWalker. Rather than trying to make a vacuum that can clean stairs directly, MarsWalker is a separate robotic platform that climbs the staircase while carrying your robot vacuum. Once it reaches the top or bottom landing the vacuum detaches and continues cleaning as normal. The concept is simple but if it works well it could save you from carrying a heavy robot between levels yourself.
MarsWalker is not due out until spring 2026 and we still need to see how it performs on real staircases with tricky corners or unusual shapes. If it proves reliable, it could be the first practical step toward whole home automation in robot cleaning.
Should You Wait for It
The Omni S2 is scheduled to arrive in early 2026 at a launch price of around $1,599 USD, with European release expected shortly after. That puts it firmly in the premium category. With the MarsWalker following later in the year it is clear Eufy is targeting people who want the most complete cleaning solution possible. If you are in the market for a robot vacuum now there are plenty of strong models available, but if you want a glimpse of where the industry is heading the Omni S2 is a clear sign of the future. Whether the MarsWalker catches on will depend on price, safety and how easy it is to use in everyday homes.
IFA 2025 proved that robot vacuums are not standing still. With announcements like these Eufy is pushing the boundaries of what people can expect from an automated cleaner. If whole home convenience matters to you, then the Omni S2 and MarsWalker are launches worth keeping an eye on.
